Riki has been reassigned to a different department in the police department. Riki, disliking paperwork, is glad to hear that he doesn't have to do any paperwork since his new assignment is to test drive a new vehicle secretly invented within the department. The new vehicle, however is beyond Riki's imagination; a talking car covered with a mascot girl on all sides. The car is a "Patrol Car with Artificial Intelligence & Technical Illustration" named Pattie 2000 and it talks like a human. A car that can talk, react to situations quickly, and has all sorts of technological advancements such as maps appearing on glass........and it can transform into a girl!?!? Technology is grand, isn't it?

This is a unique cultural manga mixed with comedy so as not to bore you, this is Double J!

This week we don't have that many interesting series to check out, but despite the hype for all things Haruhi related, I'd still check out the Yuki spin-off. Hopefully someone will step up to the plate and translate/scanlate it. I'd also like to see the short Ritz one-shot scanlated since I like the Saki manga. As for things scan-worthy, I suggest checking out last week's shout out instead if you haven't done so already.

If you're looking for things to scanlate, then check out Gisèle Alain which was translated by the great Laika, as well as Natsu no Zenjitsu which was done by the new translator Unproductive, both with no scanlations. Also, Planet Waves, by the mangaka of Detroit Metal City (go check it out if you haven't done so already - GO DMC!), has yet to be scanlated with translations done by the almighty translating machine, molokidan. I'm guessing people are turned off by the art so they don't want to scanlate it... >.> I'd do it, but I'd be as slow as a snail. >_<
