Ino Mamako is an English teacher at Ryuuzan High School. She's 32 years old, and she's starting to tire of teaching. She feels that if she wants her life to take a different course, now is the time to make the necessary changes. However, she has to face some hard facts concerning her worth in the job market and the difficulty of switching careers in Japan. She is introduced to Ebisawa Yasuo, an 'occupational change agent' who advises people on how to successfully switch careers. After she carefully analyzes her own position, Yasuo offers her a surprise-- he suggests she could become an occupational change agent herself. Now Ino Mamako has found a new course for her own life, helping other people to successfully change their own paths!

Everyone wants a fresh start in high school and that applies ten fold for Toujima Asahi. Change isn’t as easy as Asahi thought and she is introduced to Maharu, a strong minded girl, and to Naginata, a sport similar to kendo. Asahi realizes that Naginata is what she needs in order to become a new person, as the sport allows those who are not the most athletical to shine even on a national level.

A group of 15 elite high school students are gathered at a very special, high class high school. To graduate from this high school essentially means you'll succeed in life, but graduating is very difficult. The school is presided over by a bear called Monokuma, and he explains to them that their graduation hinges around committing a murder. The only way to graduate is to kill one of your classmates and get away with it. If the other classmates discover the identity of the killer, the killer is the only one executed. However, if they fail to catch the killer, only the killer graduates and the others are annihilated. Which of the 15 will survive the bloodbath to come?

One day, new people take over the high school, with plans of changing it from a third tier school to a top-tier one. Their plan involves drastically altering the nature of instruction and the environment of the school, and it includes the closure of the school restaurant where Futatsuki cooks. In its place, the arrogant Azumi Hinano will open a first-class restaurant, and she wastes no time in seducing the students to her side with delicious high-class food. Futatsuki despises her dismissive attitude toward ramen and her view of the students as slaves to be ruled. Will Futatsuki have the skill and support to be able to take a stand for the continued existence of the old student restaurant?

Every small town has a secret and this coastal countryside is not an exception. The intake tower of this little town has been abandoned for years now and there are several rumors that surround it; such as it serving as a military complex during the war or an old electricity generating station. The entrance from the shore has been sealed off and the waves are too strong for anyone to try to access it through boat so no one really knows what’s inside. Now, a group of young kids find a hidden entrance to the intake tower and find out that it's not so empty after all and something lurks within, a secret that the older members have kept hidden!

This is what tethysdust said this week:
Kazoku Game was my favorite this week, though I do think it might be a manga only gamers would find funny. Menou Futatsuki was the second-most interesting-- it had a lot of energy.
Here's what vyc had to say:
Marika Seven - "ultraman" in the modern world plus a twist with it being a female version. I feel like if the author did a meta thing between how ridiculous the ultraman back then was and gave it a modern comedy twist, it would be great.
Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Denki Machi no Honya San - Awkward bunch of people living sheltered from the awesomeness outside. Mix of comedy and otaku stuff with a sprinkle of romance stuff. Easy read for anyone and pretty funny.
My opinion:
Dangan Ronpa piqued my interest the most. With so few people in the class, would anyone really be able to get away with murder? I'm also a bit interested to see what kind of secret the town is hiding in Shusuitou Soushuuhen.
