Many military leaders throughout history, including Napoleon, have been found using the teachings in the ancient Chinese literature called the Sonshi. The Sonshi, written by the leader of the Son family, extensively covers topics ranging from troop movement to forging alliances. Bin is a young adult in 360BC who is a criminal and social outcast. His face was tattooed with an unmistakable mark that will prevent him from ever working a decent job and his knee caps were cut off so that he will never walk again. He is the fifth generation of the Sons and he is said to be just as cunning as the original writer of the Sonshi. This story is about Bin, a legendary military tactician that changed the history of China.

With their school shutting down for good, the students of a small town were heading for different directions in life. For Minase Tamaki, who was staying in town to find a job, it might be the last time she sees her crush Shindo Yuuma, who is moving to the city to attend a new school. She asks him to do a little prayer that is supposed to help people cross paths again even if they become separated. But her classmate, Yuzuki Erina, overhears their conversation and, out of jealousy, decides to ruin her plans by inviting their entire class on what was supposed to be an intimate spell.

As soon as the charm goes off, the ground splits in half, swallowing the entire class and, when they wake up, they find themselves in an old school campus. Unable to find a way out, they wander the corridors, trying to figure out where they are. But it seems that the building isn’t as abandoned as they thought it was and, in fact, something evil is lurking in the shadows.

Hagiwara Ataro was just playing video games in his apartment when a girl came crashing through the wall. His next door neighbor should have the same room as he does, but what he sees on the other side of the wall is a whole labyrinth of a dungeon. The girl’s name is Kris, a cute, shy human girl who seems to be hunted by succubi and she explains to him that misfired magic in her world sometimes causes dimensional rifts into Ataro’s world. But there is another person inside Kris. She becomes Seres when she takes a potion created from her ring which changes her appearance and, more importantly, makes her incredibly strong. Ataro, now trapped in a different dimension, has to follow the Kris/Seres pair if he wants to find his way back home.

As a new member of the Nozawa family, she learns the ins and outs of farming which Inageshi finds exciting. But what is more incredible is having new sisters in her life. Yashiro is the oldest, beautiful and seems innocent but has a wild side to her. Mayu is vibrant and vocal but is scared to death of insects. Ringo is the youngest but by far the brains of the group and is an encyclopedia of important and sometimes unimportant information. Their sisterly bonds are still little saplings but with each day passing it becomes stronger.

Three years ago, Katsumi Yu headed to Africa for a volunteer project as a doctor. However, soon after, a civil war erupted and he was captured by a guerilla group who was desperate for a doctor to treat the injured. He kept doing what he came to do, help people in need, and he does this for several years. But with the regime change in the country, the guerilla group was hunted down and Yu was forced into a situation of kill or be killed. He quits being a doctor soon thereafter and gets a tattoo of Lucifer on his right arm as a reminder of his past crimes.

Although Yu returns to Japan, he spends his days drinking. After a night of drunken brawls, he wakes up in a clinic run by Dr. Minatono. This shady looking clinic takes in all patients, even those without insurance or can’t even pay but still maintains state of the art equipments. It turns out Dr. Minatono deals with clients, such as the mob, who are unable to go to regular hospitals due to legal reasons and in exchange receives exorbitant amounts of money to help keep the clinic up and running. At first, Yu rejects the job offer from Dr Minatono, but situations keep coming up that keep him busy in the surgery room.

Sekohara finds himself joining the Tropical Fish Club at school, which at this point, only has the founder as its only member, a mysterious girl named Raikonen. She is a self proclaimed witch, but Sekohara doesn’t believe in the nonsense until she is able to turn an angelfish into a human girl with the use of her homunculus alchemy. Raikonen’s goal is to see what happens when a human mates with the transformed fish, but the more time Sekohara spends with Raikonen, the deeper the emotions get. More and more people close to him get involved in the magical experiment she is conducting.

In a society where online relationships are more common than face to face conversations, three classmates, Hazuki, Ayumi and Mio become what they believe to be friends. Hazuki is a fun and loyal girl who easily gets a bloody nose, especially when her emotions are unstable. Ayumi never breaks her cool character and Mio is a child prodigy who has some quirky hobbies. The trio gets caught up with a serial killer who seems to be hunting down students just like them. The only way the case makes sense is if the killer is also one of their classmates…

In another timeline in history, one where Sakamoto Ryoma was not assassinated in 1867, Ryoma successfully overthrows the government and creates the Naval Support Division. Two years ago, Rinoie Narumi, a young boy, met Saitani, a beautiful naval captain who immediately captured his heart. It is now 1914 and Narumi has enlisted in the Japan Naval Academy and is stationed on the Mikasa, a ship that is now being used for training students. He finally gets reunited with Saitani and decides to stay on Mikasa instead of continuing with the Naval Academy.

Kuzumi Akio followed in his dad’s footsteps and started playing the violin when he was a young boy. One day at his father’s professional orchestra practice, he witnesses a conductor’s young daughter, Sonari Hibiki, conduct the professional orchestra while her father is taking a break. Akio and even the other professionals with years under their belt were blown away at how amazing she was able to control the band.

Nine years have passed since that day and Akio is now in music school in college. He feels frustrated at his current skill level and doesn’t feel any inspiration. Akio learns that Hibiki is also in the same school and, through her, finds the motivation and music sense that he was lacking his entire life.

Here's what vyc had to say:
Lots and lots of series this week

Corpse Party - horror series with school kids. It gets really graphic at times so definitely for the more mature audience. But the series is really good and the suspense builds up every chapter.

Joshi Ni Yoru Agriculture - easy going series that teaches you about agriculture to the audience without being a boring textbook.

Ruu Garuu - some what weird story set in the future. I like the characters and I think the author purposefully slowed down the plot line to give his idea of how things should progress.

Raikonen no Nettaigyo - school romance type story where the witch transforms an ordinary fish into a girl. Main character gets involved with lots of girls and the comedy in this is actually pretty good.

Ten ni Hibiki - musical series with a child genius who influences those around her and anyone playing for her to inspire and awe. I really liked the Hibiki character. She's a genius and she knows it but doesn't hold it over peoples heads and is charasmatic and humble at the same time.

Lucifer no Migite - Doctor who decides to quit treating people after a traumatizing experience overseas. But is unable to resist the urge to those dying in front of him and is slowly pulled back into the world that he wanted to leave behind.
My opinion:
I haven't read any horror recently so if someone scanlates Corpse Party: Another Child I'd check it out~ Not many manga about underground doctors, so I'd check out Lucifer no Migite. The idea of a fish turned human mating boggles the mind for Raikonen no Nettaigyo. I just don't know what to even say about that... O.o Ruu=Garuu might look interesting.
