Hired for an eviction of an apartment resident, lawyer Midorikawa visited a mysterious apartment. Since the visit, he has been haunted by these visions of "Angels," small naked girls who have faces that of a doll. These Angels freely teleport between TV, phone, and computer monitors and enter the human body. They feed off of the human spirit, what they call "nectar." Are these Angels real? Are they part of a horrific dream? Through Midorikawa's body, they escape the infected apartment. Now, they spread their horrors upon the city!

17 year old Nowaki Asunaro has been forsaken by fortune since his birth. Every step he takes, bad luck awaits, whether it takes the shape of a falling bucket of water on his head or being blamed for crimes he never committed. Even for an exceptionally unlucky fellow like him, he still hopes to become friends with the love of his life: Hashihime Banri. The only problem lies in the fact that every time he almost gets close to her, his lack of luck blocks the way.

On one typical day for him, filled with unfortunate accidents, he ends up having to protect himself from the rain in a forsaken and dilapidated temple. He becomes feverish from cold and hunger, but in desperation, he prays to the gods that he survive this day and become friends with Banri. Lo and behold, it seems like he accidentally summoned a God(?). Will this accident bring him the luck he never had?

This is the visual diary of Kiitarou's experience with youkai. He's a boy with a very strong spirit sense, but when he entered a forbidden storehouse, he was kicked out of his home. He soon found a new place to live, where he met a zashiki warashi (house spirit) named Suzu. He and Suzu soon began to attract all kinds of spirit creatures, starting with a nurikabe (appears as a wall that impedes travelers) and mokumokuren (appears as eyes in a torn paper wall). What kind of folkloric creature will he meet next?

This 4-koma style manga follows the adventures of Lisa Hartfield, a foreign English teacher, with her new Japanese colleagues. Lisa has loved Japan since she saw a Japanese DVD at 6-years-old. She studied abroad in Japan during high school, and now she's back as a teacher! She's nervous, but eager to make friends with her new, interesting colleagues. These include Hino Aoi (the friendly gym teacher), Mikogami Koa (the sweets-loving science teacher), Sanjou Chizuru (the calm, motherly art teacher), and Komiya Mito (the conscientious Japanese teacher). Lisa's life as a teacher in Japan has just begun!

Shishikura Shigure is an ordinary high school student, who is into gal games, figures, and late night anime. He tends to be pretty oblivious of most of his actual surroundings, particularly at school. Since his parents have gone overseas for work, his childhood friend Koyomi has taken charge of caring for him. One Wednesday, one of Koyomi's friends is missing, and she seems overly concerned. She explains to Shigure that one month ago, a student at their school threw herself in front of a train. On every Wednesday since then, a girl at their school has killed herself. She warns him not to get involved, but Shigure decides to look for Koyomi's friend.

Shigure ends up at the scene of the crime, where he sees a darkly mysterious girl who claims she can peek into people's memories. Shigure learns later that she is the student council president, but why was she so cavalier about her classmate's death? Could she be involved, and will Shigure be able to stop this string of supposed suicides?

Since their mother's death, sisters Tomoe and Mikage have been mostly raising each other. The older sister, Tomoe, is determined to get good grades and work her way into a good college. However, she's disturbed by the trouble Mikage sometimes gives her. For instance, at the beginning of the manga, Mikage sneakily locks a collar around her older sister's neck, forcing her to go through the day wearing it. Mikage wants Tomoe to think only of her, and her affection may be beyond sisterly love. However, at school, Mikage has made a new female 'friend' that has a serious crush on her. The two sisters have their separate lives at their respective schools, but their life together and their relationship may be most important of all.

Kiitarou Shounen no Youkai Enikki was pretty neat. It seems like a children's book designed to introduce creatures from Japanese folklore. There were a few I'd never heard of before! NOeSIS - Uso o Tsuita Kioku no Monogatari had a pretty exciting start, too.

Gamurakan was really hard to summarize... It's horrific and downright weird, but it's captivating.

My opinion:
Out of the bunch, NOeSIS - Uso o Tsuita Kioku no Monogatari definitely piqued my interest, although it reminds of a mash-up of other manga. Hopefully someone scanlates it~
