In the near future, Japan creates an armored suit called Infinite Stratos, IS for short, for outer space usage but was later used as a military weapon until it was finally incorporated as a new sport. The one drawback to the IS is that it can only be piloted by a female, or so people thought, until Orimura Ichika came along. As the younger brother of the famous pilot, Orimura Chihuyu, who represented the nation of Japan and went undefeated her whole professional career, Ichika is the only male in the entire world who can pilot an IS. He was accepted into the IS Academy where all the students are female except for him and he has to train to become a pilot. He is surprised to see that his teacher is none other than his sister Chihiyu and is almost annoyed by all the attention he is getting as the only guy on campus. Almost every girl around him is fighting against each other to gain Ichika’s heart and with all the flirting going around, he barely has time to master using his IS.

Seiji is a typical college student with girls on his mind. He gets into a car accident that leaves both his hands broken and in a cast for several months. His parents and his friend both coincidently send him a urine bottle to use while he is injured but to Seiji’s surprise, a maid appears from each of the gifts. Mint is the younger looking, outgoing and happy maid and Mei is the older but shy and uptight girl. They both claim that they come from a different world and they are here to serve Seiji until he recovers. Both Mint and Mei take care of Seiji’s “private time” urges as both his hands are unusable. Instead of choosing one maid to serve him, he chooses to have both of the girls help him, much to Seiji’s delight.

This is a courtroom drama based on the relatively new Japanese jury system, in which a mixed panel of laypersons and professional judges hear criminal cases and determine guilt and sentencing. The young, pretty Yuuki Michiko is moving from Tokyo to a small coastal town to take up the position of an assistant judge. Right away, they begin the selection of a diverse group of people to serve as the lay judges for a murder case! It's Michiko's job to help guide them through the trial, without overly influencing them with her opinions. How will this group of citizens cope with passing judgment on people that they don't even know?

Sakuraba Yuto is a high school student who is open about his otaku lifestyle and has been recently interested in a new moe (萌え) artist named Sayane. At his new class, he is assigned a seat next to Kashiwagi Kotone, the popular girl in school, who strongly shows her dislike for the kind of culture Yuto is into. He runs into Kotone at an otaku store and learns her secret: that she is, in fact, heavily into the moe culture she says is stupid to everyone. Yuto promises to keep it a secret and the two start a relationship where they discuss their passion in secret. But Yuto still doesn’t know that Kotone is really the artist Sayane that he admires so much.

Kusuno Kaya is a zoo keeper at Koma Zoo who has the ability to tell the temperature by sight. This manga tells the adventures of Kaya and the other zoo keepers, as they care for many different animals. They do their best to deal with the multitude of problems that arise from caring for these non-domesticated animals. For example, the first major problem they encounter is the escape of one of the chimpanzees during a heavy rainstorm!

Nothing really stood out this to me this week. There's more information filled manga if you're into learning about zoo animals (Zoo Keeper) or the Japanese jury system (Saibanin no Megami).
Here's a note from vyc:
Infinite Stratos - most favorite this week. Sci-Fi mixed with harlem type story line. The actual basis of the storyline (the mobile suit) seems to take a backburner to the love triangle theme so approach it as a romantic series. Tonari no Kashiwagi san - The incredibly good artwork was the first thing i noticed here. The storyline is ok. I would like to see the pace get faster so we can see where the author is going with this story. Maid wa Miracle - Guy gets 2 hot maids that will do any of his bidding. So like any dude, he smashes them. Straight and simple.
My opinion:
The only one that sounds interesting to me is Tonari no Kashiwagi-san. Hopefully it isn't a fanservicey moe manga...
