New Manga Shout Out: 10/17/11 - 10/23/11

Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. With the no-raws/scans rule on MH, you have to work a bit to find these mangas. This week features an underwater facility with mysterious accidents, a devil summoner, and a serial killer killing other serial killers. Remember, if you like any of the series, favorite them. After a tragic accident at a large facility 6000 meters below water killed its workers, the facility was abandoned for three years. After the Japanese company owning it is taken over by a Chinese company, the facility will be opened again. Kadokura Kengo and his colleague Danzaki are sent along with the team reopening the underwater facility. However, right away, an 'accident' grievously injures Danzaki. Kengo is left alone with colleagues he doesn't trust in an eerie underwater environment that may have more to it than meets the eye...

With the original plan of finding a chance to steal the sketchbook, Kyoko feigns concern over Aoi and joins her on her travels. As the two girls encounter and affect the lives of various people on their journey, will Kyoko be able to learn more about this unusual young girl?

6) Bindzume no Jigoku - A boy who was cruelly bullied in school becomes completely isolated. But does he want to stay all alone, or will he begin to reach out to others?

Narushima Nanase has always been perceptive to spirits and notices it every time Tamura Taliho attracts one. Taliho never believed Nanase about the spirits until one night, she breaks the seal holding in a spirit inside their campus. Not a harmful spirit, Amagi Ako, a former student who died years ago but was trapped inside their campus, makes friends with Nanase and Taliho. Ako mistakes Nanase for his dad and they soon realize his parents have something to do with Ako’s spirit being imprisoned.

Reiroukan is a beautiful house that is currently renting rooms to male and female students. Shirai Genta has just moved to Reiroukan, turning over a new leaf in his life. The house is full of other people with strong personalities, such as the nerdy Tokimaru and the careless and uninhibited Mikoto, who frustrates her friend Midori with her messiness. Genta gets embroiled in all sorts of wacky situations. Soon, though, Genta finds that Reiroukan is scheduled to be closed in a year. At least, there is still a year for Genta to build fond memories with the lively inhabitants of the house!

But her weird but pleasant personality and the advanced technology she has brought makes living with her anything but normal. Misuzu and her family make her feel part of the family and try to go about their daily lives.

This is what tethysdust said this week:
I think 6000 was my favorite this week. It starts very slowly, but it has a really creepy atmosphere. Reiroukan reminded me a bit of Love Hina, though it has multiple men and women.
Here's what vyc had to say:
Satsurikuhime - loved the perfect amount of violence and the characters are very original. Plot line awesome and, again, the perfect amount of blood with a message behind the story.

Kamigariki - very young adult type feel to it and how things aren't black and white, good and evil. Again, the action is awesome and storyline moves fast.

Maneuver Ride AT - romance between childhood friends mixed with a little supernatural girl that causes sort of a love triangle. Easy enough read with romance and comedy. Great for anyone.
My opinion:
I'm pretty much just interested in 6000 since it sounds like an interesting mystery although Satsurikuhime's concept reminds me a little of Dexter. I'd never want to be the object of affection of a serial killer though~ :p
