New Manga Shout Out: 12/19/11 - 12/25/11

Merry Xmas and welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. With the no-raws/scans rule on MH, you have to work a bit to find these mangas. This week features a club making a video game, a boy interested in motorcycles and a man fighting alone in the mountains against terrorists. Looking for anything valuable to sell to replenish his depleting allowance, Fujisawa Takumi finds a TZM50R motorcycle in his garage. She's grown up into a pretty young girl, and it seems like the boys might have a shot with her!

That evening, Meguru realizes that the strange kiss may have had more meaning than he thought: he's turned into a girl! He convinces Shou and his mother of his identity, but no one has any idea how to turn him back. Now he's going to have to learn how to be a girl and let go of his hope of dating his cute childhood friend Souko. What will happen to his hopes for a popular high school life?

Demon hunter twins Tojo Taruto and Tojo Ribbon have a natural gift with fighting demons. Unfortunately, their powers are completely lopsided. Taruto has the power to crush demons but is unable to sense and see them while Ribbon has no strength but is able to see them. In order to effectively operate, they rely on a spell that allows them to switch souls so that they can use the best part of each sibling. However, the side effect of this spell seems to be that they randomly switch places every few days. It’s one thing to switch souls while defending against demons, it’s another thing when you are in class.

In a mountainous area with a large dam and skiing lodge, Yoshioka and Togashi went out one day to rescue some lost climbers. Tragically, an accident claimed Yoshioka's life. Months later, Togashi is headed out into the snow again. This time, he doesn't find grateful lost climbers, but violent terrorists. He manages to evade them, but many aren't so lucky, and the terrorists take over the whole station. Yoshioka's fiancee, who had been on her way to the area, is also taken hostage by the criminals. The entire area is carefully cut off from the outside world, so Togashi has no one to turn to for help. His solitary fight against these violent criminals has begun!

Citrus was pretty well-written. The main character was very likable, and the school life aspects seemed fairly realistic. Whiteout was kind of neat, it sort of reminded me of an action film. Megu Miruku is a magic gender-bender, something I haven't seen come up much lately.

Score of the Seventh Class - romance series revolved around first love/ puppy love. Normally don't like stories like this but I don't know what got me interested in this one. Seems a little different from others, but I cant quite put my finger on it.
My opinion:
Although it's christmas season, we don't really have any xmas related manga, but we DO have a lot of love-related manga. However, the only one that really piqued my interest is Score of Seventh Class. It's always refreshing to read about a cute young couple learning about love~
