Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. With the no-raws/scans rule on MH, you have to work a bit to find these mangas. This week features a guy who solves ghosts' problems, a high school erotic author, and a high school girl living a double life. Remember, if you like any of the series, favorite them. One day, high school student Daisuke is called back from his life in Tokyo to help with the family temple. It's something of a wreck, and he's supposed to help clean it up before it's sold to the city. When he arrives in his old hometown, he runs into people he once knew, such as his neighbor, Nao. Nao barely seems to note Daisuke's presence, but she is determined to keep the temple from being sold.

In addition to Nao, there are others who want the temple to be maintained-- the dead who are buried nearby. Daisuke realizes that he has the ability to see and interact with these spirits, and he sometimes can't even distinguish them from living people. Soon enough, he ends up derailing the business scheme and protecting the temple. However, there's a catch: since he ruined the deal, he has to transfer back to his old hometown and help with the upkeep. On top of handling the temple and his abandoned relationships with his childhood friends, he seems to have become the go-to guy to fix all the local ghosts' problems!

A collection of historic short stories, each associated with a karuta card. The stories revolve around the red-light district of Yoshiwara, in Edo.

1) Kimori: Okuma is a good-natured, sweet girl, but she is unable to find a husband due to her weight. One day, a samurai defends her from being publicly mocked. Is this samurai her chance to find happiness?

2) Kanrobai: After her father ritually commits suicide, Asagi finds herself in much reduced circumstances. Some of the girls who work with Asagi bully her, and the high-class airs she puts on don't help the situation. All she wants is a way to get back to the lifestyle to which she was accustomed, but all she has is mistreatment and the company of a strange man trapped under a barrel...

3) Maigoishi: Tama is a lost child, and she's taken in temporarily by a family who already has a son, Shirou. Tama can't wait to find her beloved father again. However, finding the place where she belongs may not be so simple for little Tama.

4) Akaishinyo: Seiichi is the only one left to protect his princess, Miya. He wants what's best for her, regardless of their feelings for one another. But can he really tell what that might be?

This is what tethysdust said this week:
Edo Karuta was probably my favorite of this week, it had some really interesting, worthwhile stories. Deresuke was neat, too, it seemed like a more comedic approach to the whole 'helping ghosts with unfinished business' plot. Kyosuurei was kind of bleak and strange, but the art and the story were pretty good.
Here's what vyc had to say:
Hanimero - high school romance, ecchi series. I dont know why but I like this one. Maybe it's the unique drawing style that caught my eye. Whatever it was, pretty good series to read.

Haikin - new kind of series revolving around venture capitols, making money, etc. Not only is it super informative, the plot line is very well scripted and keeps the suspense and drama very high. Must read for anyone imo.
My opinion:
The idea of Haikin sounds pretty interesting. Plus, maybe you WILL learn something that'll help you in this economy~ If anyone recognizes the art from Hanimero。, it's by the author of the shoujo manga Five. The subject matter is quite different for a shoujo mangaka. Hitsugi Tantei D&W looks a bit intriguing, especially since there's a supernatural element~
