New Manga Shout Out: 4/1/13 - 4/7/13

Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. This week features a woman who's never had a boyfriend, a sadistic detective and an otaku baseball captain. Remember, if you like any of the series, favorite them. Ria is a pretty, young woman who works in a small corner of Osaka, delivering lunches to the elderly. She doesn't deal well with young men, so she has created an "air boyfriend," who she imagines is always loving and supportive of her. Ria is approaching 30 without having ever really dated. One day, the little food delivery business is bought out by a Tokyo company. Ria and her chubby friend Kyou end up heading to Tokyo to work, sadly leaving behind the older workers.

Mistakes and misunderstandings crop up in every department Ria tries to work in (many due to the fact that people assume she speaks English, based on her half-Japanese looks), and she is despondent that she is failing to represent the people she left behind in Osaka. Finally, Ria ends up as a secretary. When she ends up in a meeting about food delivery to the elderly, she feels compelled to speak up about her own experiences. She is certain she's about to be fired, but instead, she is promoted to be the young company president's personal secretary. Ria is not sure of her job as a secretary, she doesn't seem able to make friends at work, and she has no idea how to deal with the gorgeous man that is now her direct boss!

Voice acting as a profession has become popular among the younger generation, adding up to over 400,000 applications every year. In this industry, there exists a legend. The legend states that there exists a "God Voice": the perfect voice that will bring about a revolution in the voice acting world. This story revolves around two best friends that grew up together. Shiraike Yuu has always been the mischievous one, always using his innate ability to mimic others' voices. Kubotera Tatsuma has always been the quieter and logical counterpart to Yuu. These two will train together to bring about a revolution in the voice acting industry.

One day, Son happened across a woman, named Shue, that he had loved as an older sister when they were young. It looked like it was the same woman, with the same scars, but Son had thought she was dead. In fact, she was a reanimated corpse, resurrected by a young girl named Fuu to work as her minion. Son becomes Fuu's follower, determined to find a way to return Shue's soul to her body so that she might live again. However, Son doesn't know what he's gotten into with Fuu, though, as she ends up in conflict with many other practitioners of her arts, using Shue's reanimated corpse to do things that Son would rather have never seen.

Kazumasa is on the baseball team in his middle school in Komae (a city in Tokyo), but he's hardly an ace player. He's something of an otaku, and he isn't all that concerned that he's not the top--his dream is to become a sports journalist. This year, everyone knows the team captainship is between the great players Namikawa and Yokosuka. However, the faculty advisor of the baseball club decides this year to choose a captain instead of taking a vote from the players. Based on a desire to involve Kazumasa more in the team (due in large part to a visit from Kazumasa's mother), he chooses Kazumasa as the captain. The other players are shocked and disappointed, but Kazumasa doesn't want to refuse the captainship and quit the club. Will he be able to rise to the challenge?
