Urayama Minoru is care free boy who has no interest in the idol group AKB48. On the other hand he does worry about a fellow classmate Yoshinaga. She wants to become a member of this theater group and auditions for a spot. Minoru goes undercover as a female in order to help Yoshinaga with her stage fright. Words of encouragement can only go so far, and the web Minoru finds himself in is getting bigger.

The Earth contains light streams which wizards use to cleanse distortions. These distortions cause negative energy to accumulate and, eventually, cause demons to appear and it's the wizard’s job to protect humanity from it. These wizards are employed at a secret company and are compensated for each job they accomplish. The Ichijou twins Yutaka and Kyosuke are employees of this organization, however, they are still interns. Yutaka, the sister, is very emotional while the brother, Kyosuke, is stoic. This odd sibling combination makes a great pair and, together, they try to keep the land safe and as well as try to make a living.

When 10-year-old Kaneda Shota was involved in a car accident that claimed the life of his father, it changed the course of his life forever. Even though his mother got a job and tried her best to support her son, money was always tight. Now, unable to afford college, Shota works a part-time job, in addition to his full-time job at his uncle's factory. He dreams of one day saving enough money to go to college. He lives alone, on the second floor of one of his uncle's warehouses, and doesn't have any friends. Everywhere he goes, he rides a bicycle, with headphones to block out the flashback-inducing sounds of the cars.

His quiet way of life is about to be interrupted. Due to pressures from the economy, Shota's job at his uncle's factory is going to be cut to half-time/half-pay for a while. In addition, Shota's uncle has agreed to lend the first floor of Shota's warehouse to a college club. This club is building a solar car to enter in a race, and they're hoping to get Shota to lend them his mechanical expertise. Will Yazaki Junko and the other club members be able to handle Shota's anger and bitterness, and draw him out of his self-imposed isolation?

Elena has come back from vacation to find that her boss's home has burnt down, and he's already dead and buried. Sanshima Koudai is the usual tough high school delinquent, who's always spoiling for a fight. The only person who can hit him and get away with it is his childhood friend Hikaru, who does her best to keep him in line. One day, at the Sanshima produce store, a strange package comes in. Assuming its some sort of rare fruit, Koudai and Hikaru promptly eat it.

However, it was much rarer than they could have imagined. Soon after, a childish-looking Chinese "Sennin" (supernatural hermit) who has come to seek it explains that it is a "Taisai," one of only three in the world. It is said that anyone who eats all three gains eternal youth. Eating only one still grants the owner a lifespan of thousands of years, marked out by a winding red line on the forearm. Unfortunately, there are many powerful people in the world who seek eternal youth, and they will stop at nothing to kill those who possess the Taisai and take it from them. Koudai is unshakably confident that he can beat anyone who comes at him, but will he and the nameless Sennin be able to protect Hikaru?

Imaginary Friends are creatures born from the imaginations of children. In this world, they physically exist. As the children who created them grow up, the Imaginary Friends move into careers of their own, while still cherishing their bond to their particular child. Kodachi Rurika and her Imaginary Friend are something of an unusual case. She created her Imaginary Friend at the age of 5, and it abandoned her by the age of 6. She barely remembers anything at all about her lost friend.

Rurika has now gone to art college in Tokyo along with her photographer friend Mizuki. College is full of challenges for Rurika, as she gets to know her artsy classmates and attempts desperately to impress her teachers with her drawings. But another challenge comes in the form of her long lost Imaginary Friend, Usa-chan. Usa-chan is a selfish, violent, slovenly bunny-girl, who is nothing at all like the quiet, polite Rurika. When Usa-chan moves in with her, Rurika doesn't understand how someone so different could have been born from her thoughts. In the process of getting to know Usa-chan, Rurika may end up gaining a deeper understanding of herself as well.

I really enjoyed this week's manga. I liked the art in Donten Prism Solar Car. While building cars is not really my thing, the characters were very well developed for a first chapter. Usagi Rurika Rakusa might sound like a silly premise, but the story is pretty well-crafted. I get the feeling its going to be a manga about self-discovery and learning to stand up for yourself. There were two mad scientist one-shots, and my favorite of the two was Ghost Jim. It made me laugh, so to me it was definitely worth the read. Lily Trigger had an interesting world setup, and it is probably one of the darkest series of the week (definitely the most violent of the ones I read).

Great series this week as usual. Killer Logic - new author and the drawings are really well done. The storyline is cool and the main character is well developed. Sabachthani - psychological thriller of teenage boy vs the devil. Goes into the human mind and greed but tries to convey how people can use their humanity to overcome the evil. Kuro Bana no Saburo - very interesting storyline of betrayal and human's thirst for power. The intricacy of the story is well thought out and is a must read. Sister's of Musashino Line - My pick of the week is this comedy. I typically dont highlight comedies but this one is great. The jokes are modern and I love how the characters know that they are in a manga series. Lots of Otaku culture and funny characters will keep you interested.
My opinion:
Hmmmm I think I only really want to read Usagi Rurikarakusa. It sounds really interesting to find out about yourself through the imaginary friends that you create as a child. I wonder what it means if you don't create an imaginary friend~
