Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. With the no-raws/scans rule on MH, you have to work a bit to find these mangas. Kanoko has had to constantly transfer schools all through her childhood, thanks to her parents' careers. As a result, she's always been something of an observer, drifting through many communities. All of this is changes in high school. In order to remain in one place, Kanoko starts living on her own. She attends a high school with one of her classmates from middle school, the handsome Tsubaki, and she has decided to recreate herself.

The first thing she involves herself with is the plight of the soon-to-be-disbanded newspaper club. By helping to save it from the brink of destruction, she has ignited the rivalry between it, the broadcasting club, and the computer club. On top of this, she has to deal with girls who are jealous of her rumored relationship with Tsubaki. Will Kanoko be able to handle living in one place for her whole high school career?

Coach Samejima sees that Nozomi is an amazing player but because soccer is such a physical sport, he can’t let her play. Nozomi isn’t the kind of girl that just gives up so she practices harder than anyone and drives the team in the hopes of one day playing in a game.

Marutamachi Satomi’s bum father owns the local stationary shop but with the tough economy, he decides to turn it into a parking lot. Satomi, who is waiting for her mother who left them, wants to hold onto the store in hopes that it might bring her home. Satomi keeps with her a pencil locket that her mother gave to her as a reminder of when the family was still together. Satomi’s dad lets her run the store and, with the help of her old and new friends, Satomi brings back business to the shop. All she can hope for is that, one day, the family can get back together again; until then, Satomi just waits.

Dantalian no Shoka seemed like an interesting story, although it is very violent. Also, liarxliar was actually kind of funny.
Here's a note from vyc:
Great series this week. Sheryl Kiss in the Galaxy - Shoujo series centered around a small but brightly shining star singer. The twist of it being in the future might be good or might be bad. Sayonara Football - Really like this series. Soccer series about a girl who is as good as everyone else but cant seem to get the chance. Super positive girl that never gives up even if everyone else has. Sailor Fuku Kishi - author of other series that I like. Little weird to see the same looking characters in different roles but the comedy is there. Looks pretty fun. Yuuyake Locket Pencil - Very slice of life story. Hard to put down. Romantic comedy type of story but really not mushy and easy to read. Really enjoyed the comedy and storyline in general.
My opinion:
Byousoku 5 centimeter looks like it'd be a good romance read. I wonder how close it is modeled after the anime... I'd be interested in reading Liar x Liar although the premise is pretty ridiculous - a girl who convinces her brother that she's not his sister and then dates her?! O.o I enjoy reading the series Nicoichi so it'd be nice to check out something else by this mangaka. Ryoko gives me a vibe of Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) minus the sending the person to hell.
