She believes that money can literally grant her anything and looks down on everybody, even her friends Saito Misaki and Goto Mayura. But when she learns that the family business goes bankrupt, it flips her life upside down and Kirie learns the hard way that karma always comes back.

Quencer is stationed at a remote military location in the snowy mountains. He is there to study about the Objects, enormous military combat robots that changed the way human wars are fought. Due to their enormous effectiveness on the battlefield, Objects made all other weapons obsolete, making it the only weapon used in warfare and thus cutting the casualties of war to almost nothing. Quencer meets one of the pilots of the Objects, Melinda, a teenage girl who he develops a friendship with. Little does Quencer know, he is about to learn the horrors of warfare.

Another oneshot from the world of Kikai Tonchibanashi - Hanasaka Ikkyuu.

Long ago, there was an ayakashi who challenged his victims to a battle of wits. If the subject succeeded, the ayakashi would grant them one wish, but if they lost, he would devour their soul. Only one person has been able to consistently defeat this ayakashi and his tricks: the clever Hanasaka Ikkyuu. The ayakashi follows him, ever eager to eat his soul, but for Ikkyuu, using the ayakashi's power to help others is worth the risk! In this story, he's called on to use the ayakashi's power for healing a sick little boy who's friends with a red-haired goddess from a hanging scroll.

The shamisen is a traditional Japanese musical instrument that looks similar to a guitar. Teenager Sawamura Setsu’s grandfather who raised him and his older brother Wakana, recently passed away and he was one of the greatest Shamisen players. The two siblings grew up listening to him play and learned how to play the instrument from him.

Since the grandfather’s death, Setsu dropped out of high school, moved to Tokyo and has been drifting, not knowing what to do besides play his Shamisen. That’s when his successful and rich mother, Umeko, storms into his life and tries to shape Setsu up. She enrolls him back into high school but little does Setsu know, he's about to rediscover his passion for the Shamisen.

In a modern country where the government is controlled by a Martial Shogun and samurai receive much respect, there lives identical twins of the Sakakido family. Kou, the brother, is very feminine, excels at cooking, cleaning, arts and crafts. Tsukiko, the sister, is masculine, loves fighting and is a combat genius. The twins learn about the Samurai High School, where men test their strength and women test their femininity, but the only way they can attend is by swapping places. If they are to be found cheating, they will be executed so they have to overcome their gender differences and maintain their secret.

There's an urban legend about a hero that is able to take out entire groups of delinquents. People have only seen the hero's back, where there's an X upon the hero's clothes. A friendless yankee type girl wearing an X on her back, Kinami Shino, may be this hero. She forcefully makes friends with Batsumaru, a boy with red and white hair, dragging him unwillingly into the world of violence. But is Shino really the hero or are things a little more complicated?

When he checks the club of his selected school, the best club in the country; he quickly notices that the club is completely devoid of any members except for a weird girl that goes by the name of Fujisaki Rin. She along with her friend, Ayane, seem to have driven everyone out of the team....

But do Rin and Ayane really want to dissolve the soccer club or could they possible want something else? And just what exactly is the promise that Yuuki made with his childhood friends? Well, regardless of the answers, it seems that Yuuki isn't in for smooth sailing, as he completely seems to have fallen into Fujisaki's hands...

Will Asuka be able to resolve the issue with Lili and stop Jin?

Sister Celes is a newly recruited holy warrior from the Heavens that is assigned to her first mission. As Celes and Alec continue on with their investigation, they notice that the attacks occur around the local church.

This is what tethysdust said this week:
A lot of the ones I read this week are based on existing franchises, with the exceptions of Shunkan Heroism and Bakegaku. Kikaitonchibanashi Hanasaka Ikkyuu is in the same world as a previously published one shot of the same name, and Tekken Comic appears to be based on the events of the game Tekken 6. Both Real Onigokko and Kamisama no Puzzle seem to be based on (or to have inspired) live action films. Real Onigokko definitely had the weirdest premise of the week. I enjoyed Bakegaku the most, primarily because it seemed like a neat idea. I think it would do better in a longer format, though, since there was not much time for developing any of the characters in the one shot.
Here's a note from vyc:
Pretty sweet series this week. Heavy Object - a mecha series with a female pilot. Enough said. Samurai High School - Plot is interesting, the drawings are nice, appeals to both male and female audiences and the comedy element makes it easy to read. Mashiro no Oto - a music genre series that has a semi serious tone but the comedic characters add a little different flavor to it. Probably the favorite for me this week.
My opinion:
Not much really interested me. Kamisama no Puzzle seems the most interesting of the bunch because of the whole human creating their own universe aspect, although Kikaitonchibanashi Hanasaka Ikkyuu sounds really cute. I hope both versions of that one-shot gets translated/scanlated.
